MEET OUR GIRLS

Each of our girls is on her own unique journey — learning, growing, and finding her sparkle along the way.
With the help of mentors and friends, they’re building confidence, chasing their dreams, and becoming the best versions of themselves.

Here’s where we celebrate them and the amazing things they’re becoming!

Ali

Hi, I’m Ali! I’m 12 years old and in 7th grade. I’ve been dancing since I was 6, and my favorite style is contemporary lyrical because it’s slow and helps me really feel the music. Dance has taught me to believe in myself and be more confident.

Something I’ve learned from Be The One is that I can’t always dance with others — sometimes I have to dance by myself and freestyle. That’s helped me trust myself and not be afraid to stand on my own. My favorite memories are dancing with the other girls and talking to Miss Hannah about random things that make me laugh.

I also really love fashion and hope to be a designer one day. I’ve even made collections that have walked the runway, which was so exciting! My dream is to go to college and maybe perform on Broadway one day. When people see me dance, I want them to feel happy and believe they can do amazing things too.

Serenity

“Hey, I’m Serenity! I’m 16 and in 11th grade. I’ve been dancing for about 3 years now, and it’s honestly changed me so much. Dance helped me be myself more and showed me that I can do anything I put my mind to, no matter what gets in the way. I’m super silly, kinda hyper, and really resilient. My favorite memories are when we surprise each other or our coaches for birthdays — it’s just pure happiness every time. I love how Miss Hannah always pushes us to try new things and actually cares about us, not just in class but outside of it too. Being part of Be The One means having people around you who really get you, support you, and make you feel confident for who you are. When people see me dance, I want them to feel that energy and know it’s okay to be yourself — and that no matter what, it always gets better.”

Khilee

“I’m Khilee! I’m 12 years old and in 7th grade. I’ve been dancing with Miss Hannah since I was 6, and she’s helped me grow so much — not just as a dancer, but as a person. Dance has taught me to believe in myself and not overthink things, because that only makes you more nervous. A woman who really inspires me is Miss Hannah, because she doesn’t just dance, she also does pageants, and that’s so cool to me. It shows you can do more than one thing and still be amazing at it. One of my favorite parts about working with her is that even though she’s our teacher, she still joins the workouts and dances with us. Being part of Be The One means having people who care, push you, and make you feel confident. Don’t be phased by someone who might be better at something just because they’re older — keep believing in yourself and stay proud of who you are.”
